Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Angry That Stimulus Bill Doesn’t Include Checks to All Immigrants

On Wednesday, the Senate approved a $2 trillion stimulus bill to aid individuals and businesses in the fallout from the coronavirus shutdown of the economy. While there were concessions from both Republicans and Democrats, the bill unanimously passed the Senate 96-0.

Some, however, are deeply unssatisfied with the stimulus bill. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has recently voiced her concerns that the stimulus bill doesn’t include checks to immigrants.

Under the Senate bill, only those with a valid Social Security Number are eligible for a check.

Shouldn’t AOC, as a U.S. Representative, be more concerned with getting checks to Americans than to those that aren’t from here?
