Democrats Advance Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act
As the war on terror fails overseas, Democrats want to bring the war home.
Using the January 6th riots as a pretense, Democrats are now moving to criminalize anything which obscures their radical, left-wing agenda—like school board protests.
Domestic terrorism, a nebulous term, seems to mean anything which leftists deem as a political crime against them, and the advancement of this act—without a single GOP vote, is further evidence of this political motivation.
The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act was advanced by the House Judiciary Committee today, but lacks any of the safeguards which GOP members requested.
An overwhelming lack of GOP support highlights the fact that a small committee of politicians essentially wants to criminalize the views of at least 50% of the country, an unsustainable move at best, and a move foreshadowing mass civil unrest at worst.
Jerry Nadler took to Twitter in a divisive move, meant to shame GOP members, who unanimously voted against the legislation:
@HouseJudiciary Democrats just passed the “Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act,” which would greatly enhance the federal government’s efforts to combat domestic terrorism.
Unfortunately, not a single Republican joined us in voting to keep our communities safe. https://t.co/uQXK0DFsWP— Rep. Nadler (@RepJerryNadler) April 6, 2022
R's have once again showed their true colors when it comes to domestic terrorism. Unlike the strawmen and conspiracy theories that Republicans use to scare the American people, the rise in domestic terrorism is real and continues to pose an alarming threat to everyday Americans.

The Epoch Times explains:
The committee—of 25 Democrats and 19 Republicans—approved the bill on April 6 with a 21–17 vote along party lines. The Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act now heads to the House floor after three days of contentious debate.
Republicans made four unsuccessful attempts to amend the legislation.
My Republican colleagues like to talk tough on crime, but when they were presented with a bipartisan crime bill today, they sided with extremists instead of the American people.

Expansion of domestic terrorism laws profoundly threatens democracy
The response I received from the FBI to my ?s about Jan. 6 is as vague as the legislation currently being proposed by lawmakers to expand the authorities to surveil Americanshttps://t.co/4aVPMjNsCV

Glenn Greenwald previously warned:
Just like the first War on Terror, these threats are issued with virtually no specificity. They are just generalized warnings designed to put people in fear about their fellow citizens and to justify aggressive deployment of military and law enforcement officers in Washington, D.C. and throughout the country.
