President Trump Defends Illegals Not Receiving Stimulus Checks: “They Came in Illegally”

Pandemic or no pandemic… America comes first!

President Trump defended the CARES act during his press briefing today.

The coronavirus stimulus package was designed specifically to help American workers and businesses from the economic fallout from the pandemic.

However, a reporter asked why "undocumented" immigrants are not receiving checks from the federal government.

Trump didn't hesitate: "They came in illegally."

Talk about a mic drop.

See the epic exchange below:

While the federal government is dispersing money through the CARES act, it's important to remember that this is quite literally taxpayer money.

Taxpayers should be the ones to benefit from what they pay to government through taxes.

Many on the left including AOC are upset that illegal aliens are not receiving checks as part of the stimulus package.

But Trump was very clear, as Breitbart reports:

President Donald Trump was asked by a reporter on Wednesday about “undocumented” immigrants not getting a stimulus check from the government as part of the coronavirus economic rescue package.

“Well, you know, you are saying undocumented, meaning they came in illegally,” Trump said. “A lot of people would say that we have a lot of citizens right now that won’t be working, so what are you going to do?”

Trump said he felt bad about the situation for illegal immigrants during a tough economic period.

“It’s a very sad question, I must be honest with you, but they came in illegally and we have a lot of people that are citizens in our country that won’t be able to have jobs,” Trump said.

The president is right.

The sooner that we are healthy and able to return to work, the sooner everyone is able to benefit.

The president worked quickly to make sure that all Americans were as protected as possible from the inevitable economic fallout.

Many users took to Twitter to praise the president's priorities:

Prominent democrats like AOC have complained that illegals will not be receiving a stimulus check.

That's the point... taxpayer money is being spent to help... taxpayers.

The former bartender turned congresswomen specifically complained that the stimulus checks will only go to citizens with social security numbers.

Fox News reports on AOC's complaints about illegals who came here illegally not receiving stimulus checks:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., does not share the enthusiasm Democratic leaders showed toward the coronavirus stimulus bill that the Senate passed this week after extensive negotiations, claiming that the provision that will send money to individuals does not go far enough.

According to the bill, nonresident aliens are not eligible for the payments, which are generally $1,200 for those who file taxes as individuals and $2,400 for those who file jointly.

"To clarify, $1200 checks are ONLY going to some w/social sec numbers, NOT immigrants w/ tax IDs (ITINs)," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted. "Thanks to GOP, these checks will be cut off the backs of *taxpaying immigrants,* who get nothing. Many are essential workers who pay more taxes than Amazon. Wall St gets $4T[.]"

An Individual Tax Identification Number (ITINs) is, as the IRS describes, "a tax processing number only available for certain nonresident and resident aliens, their spouses, and dependents who cannot get a Social Security Number." This includes illegal immigrants.

Despite House Speaker Nancy Pelosi praising Senate Democrats for using their "leverage" to obtain the party's goals with the bill, Ocasio-Cortez blamed Republicans and the Trump administration for holding those in need "hostage" to secure benefits for corporations.

While it is true that some corporations will receive stimulus money, it is also true that those corporations employ millions of Americans.

It is also corporations and big "evil" pharmaceutical companies that are currently developing and testing potential COVID-19 vaccines and cures.

Instead of demonizing workers and companies that employ them, perhaps AOC should focus on preventing law breakers from taking advantage of the system.
