MyPillow Steps Up, Begins Manufacturing Face Masks for Medical Workers

The private sector is stepping up once again, showcasing the ingenuity and willingness of the American people to serve.

MyPillow has announced that the company will begin manufacturing face masks for hospitals all around the country.

As the COVID-19 pandemic rages globally, medical supplies are running low.

Face masks are one of the items that hospitals need the most.

MyPillow took to Twitter to make the encouraging announcement:

While Democrats insist that President Trump utilize the Defense Production Act (DPA) to force private companies to make medical equipment, the reality is that the private sector is stepping up all on its own.

MyPillow was founded by Mike Lindell, whose powerful testimony reminds us that anyone in life can make a different.

Lindell is a crack-addict-turned-Christian who turned his life around and now makes it his mission to help others.

The Hill has more details on the announcement:

A pillow manufacturing company whose CEO is a prominent Trump supporter said Tuesday it is making protective face masks for hospitals across the country amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The products are not for sale to the general public, MyPillow said.

MyPillow inventor and CEO Mike Lindell, who has floated running for governor of Minnesota, is a vocal fan of President Trump. He said last year that the former real estate mogul was "chosen by God" to run against 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.

Officials across the country, especially in states hit hardest by the coronavirus, have warned that hospital supplies, including personal protective equipment, are depleting as the virus rapidly spreads.

There are nearly half a million cases of COVID-19 worldwide.

That number is expected to quickly climb, so companies from across the nation are uniting to support the medical care workers on the front lines of this battle.

MyPillow is one of many private American companies stepping up to help fight against this pandemic.

Apple, for instance, is working to source supplies for healthcare workers and is also providing financial assistance to healthcare facilities.

Breitbart has more on the public private partnership to fight COVID-19:

It remains unclear what kind of face mask MyPillow is making. Healthcare professionals are asking for the N95 respirator mask, which are in short supply around the country. The N95 face mask provides a more snug fit than other kinds of surgical masks, providing better protection from airborne pathogens.

A MyPillow spokesperson didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

Companies including 3M and Honeywell are set to manufacture millions of additional N95 respirator masks to protect doctors, nurses and other health care workers who are treating patients with coronavirus.  Apple CEO Tim Cook recently said his company will donate millions of face masks to the U.S. and Europe.

Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator Peter Gaynor recently told ABC News that n05 masks are in the midst of shipping from the national stockpile, but he didn’t provide a time frame.

Instead of forcing companies to produce medical supplies through DPA, the Trump administration is encouraging companies to join the cause...

And the calvary is coming in at full charge!

We are so happy that Mike Lindell and the leadership team at MyPillow are joining the front line effort to protect Americans and our healthcare professionals.
