Pentagon Approves National Guard Troops In The Face Of Trucking Protests
The Pentagon has approved sending troops to Washington D.C. ahead of the freedom convoy protests.
Many took to social media to decry the move as reactionary and overkill, and this move by the Pentagon reveals that the administration truly is desperate in the face of these protests.
Nations across the globe are announcing an end to the failed Covid-19 policies which have plagued economies and whole countries for the last 2 years.
Despite all of this Biden has asked Congress to extend the Covid-19 emergency in the U.S.

According to NTD News:
Austin also approved USCP’s request for assistance for up to 300 National Guard troops from outside the Washington area to help at certain traffic posts and Capitol entry points.

Washington Examiner had more details:
Guard members will not carry firearms or take part in any law enforcement or domestic surveillance, the Pentagon said in a statement sent to the Washington Examiner. They will be able to report any observed criminal activity, which will then be handled by Metro police and Capitol police.
Four hundred of the Guard members will come from D.C. while 300 will come from other states, the Pentagon said.
