Illinois Governor Caught Funneling Covid Relief Funds To BLM

The governor of Illinois seems to be a big fan of BLM.

According to recent reports, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker funneled roughly $300,000 in Covid-19 relief funds to a local chapter of BLM.

Prtizker will not be facing any kind of legal recourse because part of the Covid-19 relief package is meant to address crime and alleged inequity in black communities according to a White House press release:

To date, CVI programs have been badly underfunded, even though the economic consequences of gun violence are staggering. One study calculates that gun violence costs America $280 billion annually. For fraction of that cost, we can save lives, create safe and healthy communities, and build an economy that works for all of us.

Today, as part of a package of initial actions to reduce gun violence, the Biden-Harris Administration announces historic investments in community violence intervention to combat the gun violence epidemic.

The state funds were awarded to BLM through grants created to stop “the increased potential for violence in underserved and disproportionately impacted communities,” according to the White House description of the funds.

But now, according to county records, McLemore and BLM have been served with an eviction notice.
